1908-s St. Gaudens PCGS MS 64

1908-S St. Gaudens PCGS MS 64
The San Francisco Mint struck only 22,000 Double Eagles in 1908, and the issue has long been regarded as one of the rarest in the Saint-Gaudens series.
The 1908-S is actually the 12th rarest of the 53 business strike deliveries in this series in Mint State, ans with such a tiny mintage this date has truly flown under the radar. In fact, the 1908-S is similar in rarity to the heavily melted 1932 in the finer Mint State grades.
With 39 known graded examples in this grade and less than 40 graded higher, this represents a wonderful opportunity for the collector or investor alike. This coin has a sea-foam green patina and lustrous eye appeal.
This example is destined to reside in a high quality gold collection. Trends is 40,000
