1838 $10 Type of ’38 NGC XF45: It took the US mint almost 35 years to re-issue gold Eagles and when it resumed this was the design. It had short lived run of 2 years, making it a popular and sometimes hard to find type.

The 1838 Eagle is rare in all grades usually in VF condition. This coin is super fresh and represents a great find for the type collector or collectors looking for first year issues.

NGC has only graded 6 examples in XF45 with only 6 uncirculated examples.

1875 $2.50 Liberty NGC AU58 : With the 2nd lowest mintage of any regular issue quarter eagle this date is both rare and popular. Average grade is XF condition so a solid AU coin is always a treat to offer. For the quarter eagle specialist or a key date buyer this is a great opportunity.

Only 6 pcs have been graded finer by both services. This coin is well struck and wholesome. It has semi PL surfaces which is consistent with the date.
