1908-s St. Gaudens PCGS MS 64

1908-S St. Gaudens PCGS MS 64
The San Francisco Mint struck only 22,000 Double Eagles in 1908, and the issue has long been regarded as one of the rarest in the Saint-Gaudens series.
The 1908-S is actually the 12th rarest of the 53 business strike deliveries in this series in Mint State, ans with such a tiny mintage this date has truly flown under the radar. In fact, the 1908-S is similar in rarity to the heavily melted 1932 in the finer Mint State grades.
With 39 known graded examples in this grade and less than 40 graded higher, this represents a wonderful opportunity for the collector or investor alike. This coin has a sea-foam green patina and lustrous eye appeal.
This example is destined to reside in a high quality gold collection. Trends is 40,000

1855 Wass Molitor $50 NGC 61 CAC
Wow! What an impressive coin, 2.75 ounces of Gold rush era gold went into the making of this incredible coin.

1855 Wass Molitor $50 NGC 61 CAC
Although the long-awaited San Francisco Mint was finally in operation during 1855, a shortage of parting acids prevented satisfactory coinage of double eagles. Two private firms, Kellogg & Co. and Wass Molitor, stepped up to the plate until Mint production was sufficient, producing a variety of denominations from five dollar to fifty dollars.
All of these impressive coins were struck in 1855 and, judging by the number of examples that have survived, a decent number of pieces must have been produced. This is not to imply that the 1855 Wass, Molitor & Co. $50 is a common coin. Survivors are very scarce, and problem-free pieces in any grade with pleasing eye appeal are even more accurately described as rare.
Great strike, clean field, and originality are what makes this piece a stunner.
With less than 4 in this grade and only 4-5 finer this behemoth of a coin will be the cornerstone of any numismatic cabinet. If you are a territorial specialist this is the coin you have been looking for.
